Food Storage Practices Grow Outside LDS Circles

Ok, yes, I live in Utah and I belong to the predominate faith, and for the last 10 years my church service was to promote food storage. And to add to that I work for Honeyville Grain teaching classes and representing the company at Preparedness Fairs. So I meet a lot of people, people from ALL over the western US and from all denominations and walks of life.

Get to the point Karin!

It used to be that only the LDS people (and actually only a small percentage of LDS members really have food storage the way they have been asked to - grumble, grumble) would store food. Now, because of economic uncertainty, natural disasters, etc.,  it's becoming more and more of a practical necessity.

I have met trucker's who stop in on their way through town who pick up a couple hundred dollars worth of freeze-dried items, a fellow who was worried about the rest of his family and came to the store with his truck and trailer to purchase $7,000 worth of grains and other food items. And mind you, it was his adult siblings he was buying for too. And then there are the regulars who once or twice a month come in and add a bit more to their food storage. And the list goes on and on.

Please, just to it! You never know when that "rainy day" will come. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

How to get started:

Check out our blogs on food storage.

Remember my post of a couple weeks ago? "If you can control the food - you can control the people."
